U-Matter is a free, confidential and anonymous text-based counselling and psycho-social support service that connects young people with trained post-graduate level volunteers. This initiative is currently being piloted in Trinidad and Tobago by the Ministry of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine, and UNICEF for the Eastern Caribbean Area.

 

The project will be implemented in phases commencing with a pilot within the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, followed by an expansion to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and eventually extended to the rest of the Eastern Caribbean Area.
